Absolutely. Pet mementos are a popular way to keep your furbaby always close
to your heart. Simply collect a small tuft of fur next time you are grooming
your pet and send it to us for inclusion in a memento.

I can’t bear to open my furbaby’s urn. What can I do?
Some people are distressed by the idea of opening their pet’s urn themselves. Please contact us. In most cases, we will ask you to ship the urn to us, we will remove only the contents we need and return the urn to you along with your memento(s). Please email us first to arrange the best method of shipping. |
How do I order mementos for several deceased furbabies?
Please send us a small sample of ashes from each furbaby PACKED INDIVIDUALLY and labelled with each pet’s name. Otherwise just follow the instructions in the preparing cremains section. |
How long will it take to receive my pet mementos ?
This is dependent on where you are located and how long the post office takes to deliver the ashes and return the finished mementos to you. In most cases we have the completed memento on its way back to you within 7 days of receipt. Occasionally it may be as long as 2 weeks before we ship because of shows or other scheduled obligations. Our mail boat arrives on Tuesdays and Thursdays so we are able to offer twice weekly shipping. |
What is the best shipping method?
We use Canada Post exclusively. Due to our remote location it is difficult for us to receive couriered packages. All our mementos are shipped via Express Post in Canada and as Expedited Parcel to the US. Both of these methods offer tracking numbers. Other countries, we will select a method of postal delivery which uses tracking numbers. |
How do I know my pet memento will contain the correct ashes?
Carol is very sensitive to this question. Pet mementos is a very special part of her business, and she personally handles each order as it comes in. Honouring the animal’s relationship to its human is part of the process and great care is taken to keep orders separate and labelled. Pet Mementos is more than just a business…It’s also about sharing a sense of peace and providing a channel to help put closure to a customer’s grieving process. This sense of pride and integrity is part of the process, and ensuring that customers receive pendants containing the right ashes is a top priority. To make sure this happens, she uses the same organizational system she’s developed to fill dozens of complex wholesale orders correctly. |
What happens to any extra ashes you don't use?

Pet Mementos are made from glass…how durable are they?
| Glass that has been fired in a kiln is extremely durable as long as it is properly annealled…a process that involves lowering the temperature in the kiln slowly after fusing to allow the molecular bonds within the pendant to become strong. I have accidentally dropped pendants on the shop floor over the years. In most cases, they just bounce and seem stronger than the sheet glass I start with.

Do you offer any other styles besides pendants?
At present we offer pet mementos only as pendants, however a full line of Serendipity by Carol jewlery is also available for purchase. Do you offer a guarantee with pet mementos?
We offer a 21 day money back satisfaction guarantee on all jewelry. Of the thousands of pieces of jewelry we have shipped in the past 2 years, we have had only one piece arrive broken, which was promptly replaced. We take pride in annealing our pendants so they are strong and durable, however, should one arrive broken, or break within the guarantee period we will replace it if the problem is a manufacturing defect. People are delighted to receive their pet mementos and Serendipity by Carol jewelry and I have never had a piece returned because it didn’t meet purchaser’s expectations. Nevertheless, we do offer a 21 day money back satisfaction guarantee on all jewelry. We regret that we are unable to replace pieces that have been abused and/or treated carelessly.
